1-on-1 Programs
Live your best life! We are promoting preventive care. At the center of medicine is the patient.
Treating the patient as a whole person is the core of Lifestyle Medicine.
By ignoring the root causes of disease and neglecting to prioritize lifestyle measures for prevention, the medical community is placing people at harm. Advanced nations, influenced by a Western lifestyle, are in the midst of a health crisis, resulting largely from poor lifestyle choices. Epidemiologic, ecologic, and interventional studies have repeatedly indicated that most chronic illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes, are the result of lifestyles fueled by poor nutrition and physical inactivity.
In the conventional health care, the focus is primarily placed on the physical aspect of a person. In order to be most effective the mental, emotional, social, environmental, and spiritual domains of a patient’s life need to be assess and understood. Gathering a complete, whole-person history requires more time than the traditional 15-minute patient encounter. This additional information allows for a more complete understanding and approach to each patient. Furthermore, the number of conditions that can be treated with Lifestyle Medicine is huge and encompasses the vast majority of diseases that are prevalent today.
One-on-one visits are a time to meet with Dr. Baila Nicoleta or Dr. Baila Radu.
Your first 30 minutes consultation is free (BOOK NOW) and it will give us the possibility to know each other, to discuss about your lifestyle and to introduce you to our organization.
This is follow up by regular consultations during which we will discuss your medical history and present concerns, review labs, develop meal-plans, and set achievable goals and priorities based on your readiness to change your lifestyle. Individualized recommendations regarding lifestyle habits, mind-body practices, are prescribed during this time. We are offering an evidence-based health and wellness program to help you change behaviors over time resulting in a sustainable healthy lifestyle. This personalized approach targets 6 core components: nutrition, exercise, substance abuse, stress management, sleep, and relationship.
Please note:
We do not provide primary care. You are encouraged to have a Primary Care Provider (PCP) for routine care (such as annual physicals) as well as for acute illness/injury. In addition, please keep your PCP informed of any changes to your lifestyle habits, health status, or medication regimen.
