Our Mission

Our mission is to reverse chronic diseases through preventive medicine and to transform the community and the practice of medicine by empowering patients to take control of their health. We are doing this by using evidence-based lifestyle therapeutic approaches, such as a plant-predominant dietary lifestyle, regular physical activity, adequate sleep, stress management, avoiding the use of risky substances, and pursuing other non-drug modalities to treat, reverse, and prevent chronic disease.

Our Vision​

The vision of our practice is that the client (so not us) sets his or her own goals and drives the process to achieve lasting wellness changes since we understand that each client has unique needs, values, and expectations.

Our promises to our clients

We use methodologies that prioritize culturally centered and sensitive care, meeting clients where they are in their social context and engaging with them in ways that promote greater trust in health and wellness best practices.

Our staff will act as peers and mentors in managing care or as liaisons between a medical provider and a patient.

We will address motivational barriers via counseling and self-help techniques.

We will regularly monitor clients’ progress toward their health goals, assess adherence to lifestyle recommendations, and adjust health plans as needed to optimize outcomes.

Being healthy involves more than a proper diet, so we will also focus on non-dietary aspects of a person’s life to improve clients’ overall holistic well-being. In addition to providing general nutrition information and recommendations to our clients, we help them develop strategies to incorporate more physical activity into their daily routines, learn how to nurture good relationships, and proactively eliminate harmful influences from their lives, among many other things.

We provide options, recommendations, guidance, and help with motivation and skill-building to establish healthier lifestyle routines and other support mechanisms for achieving client-focused personal health goals.

In a client-centered process, we work with individuals and groups to facilitate and empower clients to achieve self-determined goals and take responsibility for their health. The individuals we work with have made the highly personal decision to change their lifestyles.

Ultimately, we collaborate with our clients on how to make healthy lifestyle choices, empower them to achieve self-determined goals related to health and wellness, and help them become self-sufficient and develop healthy behaviors.
